Oh my goodness.

Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)

Green Day

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to do.
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf of good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.
I hope you had the time of your life.

I hope you had the time of your life.

I miss Ottawa. I mean, it's great to be back and all, but I had such a great time there. I really hope that we don't lose touch with each other. It was so unbelievably cool to have conversations about politics and global/national issues with so many different people. I learned so freakin much. The coolest thing was seeing question period in the House of Commons. I got to see Paul Martin and all the members of Parliament up close, and I got to see a liberal insult Stockwell Day...They said "Put your wetsuit back on, Stockwell!" Awesome. Then there was our first ministers simulation on Friday. Alberta ended up separating from the rest of Canada and forming the Republic of Alberta. It was awesome. Plus I learned some French slang from my roommate. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the release of this. I love Ottawa. I think I'm going to move there someday. I loved the Forum. I didn't want to leave. It was so sad on Saturday when everyone left. It was such a great experience. I also think that the counselors and the people who came had a lot to do with its greatness. I was chatting with the session four people and counselors cause our plane was delayed twelve hours and I think that our counselors were more fun. Especially Russ. He's awesome. I've got show you guys pictures from my Forum experience. Anyways. I'm exhausted, so I think that I'm going to go and sleep. I hope that everyone is having fun doing whatever it is that you're doing for spring break! Ciao!

Cloudy

Simon and Garfunkel

Cloudy
The sky is gray and white and cloudy,
Sometimes I think it's hanging down on me.
And it's a hitchhike a hundred miles.
I'm a rag-a-muffin child.
Pointed finger-painted smile.
I left my shadow waiting down the road for me a while.

Cloudy
My thoughts are scattered and they're cloudy,
They have no borders, no boundaries.
They echo and they swell
From Tolstoy to Tinker Bell.
Down from Berkeley to Carmel.
Got some pictures in my pocket and a lot of time to kill.

Hey sunshine
I haven't seen you in a long time.
Why don't you show your face and bend my mind?
These clouds stick to the sky
Like floating questions, why?
And they linger there to die.
They don't know where they are going, and, my friend, neither do I.

Cloudy,
Cloudy.

I'm so freakin excited to go to Ottawa! It sucks having to leave so early, but that's ok; I probably won't sleep much anyways. There's only one other girl from Edmonton coming, and 4 guys, I think. Anyways. I really hope that it'll be fun! Something really strange happened today, I feel really strange about it. Nothing I feel like writing about, but felt that it was noteworthy cause I can't get it out of my head. I feel like everything was great, and then that happened, and everything is unsure again...Anyways, I'm not going down that road again. I can't. I have so much stuff to do this afternoon to get ready to leave on Saturday, and homework. Bleah. I should go and work on that. Hope that everyone has a great week! Ciao!

when I am king

So this guy phoned me up like half an hour ago, and apparently my old coach from two seasons ago told him that I was a good soccer player. So he wants me to try out for the U-18 selects team...He's supposed to send me the practice times for his current U-16 team, so that I can try out in a "non-threatening environment". Weird. And then I'm supposed to try out with everyone else at the official tryouts on the 18th. Thought that it was cool of my old coach to do that...his daughters and some of the people that were on my team that year are on that team, so it would be cool to get on it. Oh, and I've decided to try out for the school team. In case any of yous was interested. Ugh...I think that I'm getting sick. But I refuse to miss out on the dissecting tomorrow!! So I'm going to go and sleep...after I get that e-mail from that coach. I hope that the senior girls won, but if you ladies didn't, we still love you! The junior girls lost by 17 points, so they're out. Hopefully I'll see y'all tomorrow. Ciao!

Consequence Free

I had one of the worst social classes ever. I had my hand up three times, and she didn't call on me once. Argh! Plus, the same happened to Jen! Does she just not like that corner or something? I was going to contribute a different opinion to that whole communism thing, what kind of people the communists think we are. It is so frustrating not being able to share an opinion or even ask a question because the teacher has some sort of problem with you or with where you're sitting, or who knows what her problem is. I think that I'm going to go and talk to her about it if it happens again. Anyways. Time to tone down the rage. I got a haircut, so I don't look like a hippie anymore and I don't have to keep blowing the hair out of my eyes. It's wayshort, and I think that I look like an elf or something, but my mom said that she didn't really see the difference from before I got my hair cut, and my sister said that it looked better, so who really knows what it looks like. Oh, and I found out that eyebrow jewelry doesn't have any nickel in it (I'm allergic) so the only thing that's stopping me from not getting my eyebrow pierced right now is....my age. Well, more specifically, my parents. My mom told me that I was dumb when I told her my news, and told me that I'm not going to get it pierced. Freak me out! Anywho, it's time to go and read the Crucible. Oo! Twelve more days until I leave! Woot! Tah, all. Ciao!

Whiskey in the jar

My mom got this video from the library, "where there's a will there's an A", some weird study guide video thing that teaches people how to study. She wanted to make Kelsey and I watch it, and we wanted chocolate milk. So we conned my mother into buying us chocolate milk and popcorn, and we watched the dumb movie. Sweet. I love chocolate milk.

Props to Elena, Courtenay, Alex and Lauren for their kick-ass project. It was totally awesome.

This week seems to be going by really slowly. I am so excited for the forum! Only...*counts*16 days until I leave Edmonton! Yay!! I got all of my dressy dumb blazers and stuff last Friday, never doing that again. See, my body is a really funny shape, clothes-wise, and my sister is cruel. Nuff said. It was funny though. Good times. I wish that I had a cotton candy machine. When I was at Frère Antoine, when we had our carnival in February, we had cotton candy, and it was way better than picarts. Plus with the cabane à  sucre, the person who did it was a cousin or something of the playschool teacher, so we all got a whole bunch of tire (sp?)...I miss that school. Ah well. I'd better go and do some social, I haven't done anything productive all day. Hope everyone is having a good week, and if you guys aren't, then I hope that it gets better for y'all! Ciao!

Ça m'avance à quoi?

My old track coach sent me this, and I thought that it was cool, so here it is! Enjoy!

Admit it

Admit to being frightened, and your courage will grow. Admit to not knowing,
and you will learn. Admit your weaknesses, and you'll become stronger. Admit
your mistakes, and you'll begin to move past them.

Admit you don't know what to say, and you'll have said just the right thing.
Admit that you're confused, and you'll begin to understand. Admit that
you're hurting, and you'll begin to heal. Admit that you care, and the
things that truly matter will grow stronger.

Being honest with yourself, with others, with life, can often be difficult
and intimidating. Yet honesty is always the most reliable, the most direct
route to truly attain whatever you seek.

Any attempt to deceive will ultimately end up wasting your precious time.
Live the truth of who you are, and it will bring out the best you can be.

-- Ralph Marston

What a tiring week. Someone up there sure has some sense of humor. Ah well, weekend is almost here...time to go back to my sugary coffee and good 'ol Napoléon, the man that just couldn't take a hint. Ciao!
